Central Lancashire Housing Market Assessment
South Ribble Borough Council, on behalf of the Central Lancashire Housing Partnership is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced organisation to undertake a Central Lancashire Housing Market Assessment project across the 3 local authority areas, in order to inform the emerging Central Lancashire Sub Regional Housing Strategy, individual strategies and the combined Local Development Framework.
This survey will be in line with government guidance on undertaking housing market assessments and will comprise of analysis of existing data drawn from a variety of sources as well as a questionnaire/interview-based sample survey of residents to provide an overall assessment of supply, demand and need.
In addition the market assessment will need to identify links, if any, with West Lancashire District Council area and what relationship exist with other housing markets across Lancashire and the wider North West area.
The report should encompass;
- Overview of the Central Lancashire housing market
Need for;
- Social rented need
- Intermediate/subsidised home ownership
- Market housing
- Housing needs/requirements in the short, medium and long term for each Local Authority area
- Patterns of population movement both internally and externally
