Expressions of Interest

The Environment Agency invites expressions of interest from those  for Temporary Staff  Recruitment Agencies  who are able to supply  suitably qualified and experienced Planning professionals to support the Environment Agency's involvement in the land use planning process. Temporary staff recruited through  this process will need to be able to provide appropriate responses to consultations on planning applications or strategic land use plans as part of the day to day work of an Agency planning team. There may also be a requirement for temporary staff to provide input on environment and land use issues on a one-off basis where the Agency is dealing with a very large development proposal.

It will be our intention to call upon this contract either when there is a need for temporary staff to deal with workload humps or to cover recruitment gaps, maternity leave etc. or possibly when existing normal sources of recruitment have failed for permanent staff. The supplier should be able to provide temporary staff at three levels, Planning Officer, Senior Planning Officer & Principal Planning Officer.
